Identity resolution
Turning an email address into a known person.
Identity resolution is the process of matching an identifier — here, an email address — to the real person behind it: their name, role, company, industry, and location.
It works by querying public professional data (profiles, company records, domain information) and scoring how confident the match is. Corporate addresses (jane@acme.com) resolve from the domain and mailbox pattern; personal addresses (gmail, icloud) resolve through profile matching and are genuinely harder — good tooling tells you its confidence instead of guessing silently.
In ListFunnel
ListFunnel resolves every address on import and shows the confidence per match. Unresolvable addresses stay visible and honest — marked unresolved, never invented.
