How connecting works
- 01Click "Connect Mailchimp" from ListFunnel's Connections page.
- 02Sign in and authorize on Mailchimp's own consent screen — ListFunnel never sees your Mailchimp password.
- 03Mailchimp redirects back with an access token, which ListFunnel encrypts (AES-GCM) before it ever touches the database.
- 04Your Mailchimp connection shows as connected — subscriber sync activates from there.

Why this connection is scoped the way it is
Mailchimp's OAuth is scopeless — once you authorize ListFunnel, access covers the whole account, and the access token never expires, so you connect once and stay connected. ListFunnel automatically discovers your account's data-center prefix (e.g. us21) so every API call routes correctly behind the scenes.

Does the Mailchimp connection expire?
No — Mailchimp access tokens don't expire and there's no refresh token to manage. If you ever revoke access from Mailchimp's side, just reconnect.
Which Mailchimp scopes does ListFunnel request?
None — Mailchimp's OAuth is scopeless, so authorizing the app grants the account-wide access needed to read your audiences.
