How connecting works
- 01Click "Connect Shopify Email" from ListFunnel's Connections page.
- 02Sign in and authorize on Shopify Email's own consent screen — ListFunnel never sees your Shopify Email password.
- 03Shopify Email redirects back with an access token, which ListFunnel encrypts (AES-GCM) before it ever touches the database.
- 04Your Shopify Email connection shows as connected — subscriber sync activates from there.

Why this connection is scoped the way it is
Shopify's OAuth is per-store — every authorize and token URL is scoped to your store's own myshopify.com handle. ListFunnel requests only read_customers, matching customers who've opted into email marketing rather than pulling your full customer list indiscriminately.

Does ListFunnel see customers who haven't opted into marketing?
The connection reads read_customers and ListFunnel filters to email_marketing_consent, so unsubscribed customers aren't pulled into your resolved list.
Do I need a public Shopify app approval?
No — ListFunnel's Shopify integration already has the protected-data approval Shopify requires; you just authorize it from your store admin.
